Community speculation suggests that if the price of PIXEL after its Binance listing ranges between 0.4 to 0.6, then the minimum earnings from staking one RON (which was around $2.6 on February 8th) could be at least $73.3, yielding over 28 times the investment, which is quite substantial.

The potential returns from staking RON were anticipated three months ago. In December 2023, the DeFi protocol Impossible Finance announced the deployment of Launchpad on the Ronin network for launching Web3 gaming projects. Products launched on Launchpad may require staking tokens like RON, AXS, and IDIA for distribution, which significantly boosted the willingness to stake RON. Three days later, Jihoz.ron, co-founder of Axie Infinity, revealed on social media that 62% of RON tokens were already staked.

Besides the expected airdrop, RON has been performing well over the past three months. Although it experienced a short-term drop of over 15% due to suspected "whale" dumping on Binance on February 8th, the price gradually recovered from around $2.5 to near $3. Data shows that RON has surged over 280% in the past three months, making the passive income from staking RON quite significant.

Currently, over 188 million RON tokens worth over $564 million are staked. While the snapshot for Pixels' airdrop to RON stakers has ended, there are still potential airdrop expectations for other games in the Ronin ecosystem like Aperion and The Machines Arena, which have not yet issued tokens. Zoids Wild Arena

ACT Games, a renowned South Korean game developer, focuses on promoting TCG (Trading Card Game) and other card games. In November 2023, Sky Mavis, the developer of Ronin, partnered with ACT Games to bring all of ACT's games to the Ronin network. Among them, Zoids Wild Arena is the first game from ACT to migrate to Ronin. It's a TCG game where players collect cards featuring mechanical creatures from the Zoids series and engage in 1v1 or 3v3 battles.

The Machines Arena

The Machines Arena is a 4v4 multiplayer online shooting game with a third-person perspective, offering both single-player and multiplayer modes. Players can take on the role of tanks or support heroes and engage in intense battles on futuristic battlefields. The game developer, Directive Games, is based in Hong Kong, China, and specializes in developing AR games. The Machines Arena has been undergoing testing on the PC platform and plans to launch on the Epic Games Store. The game aims for cross-platform development and will eventually be available on iOS and Android platforms.

Apeiron

Apeiron is a blockchain-based card battling game where players take on the roles of deities and engage in real-time battles using a card-based combat system. The game secured a $10 million seed funding round led by Hashed in 2022 and announced its migration to the Ronin network in December 2023. Currently in the testing phase, the development team, Foonie Magus, plans to release a global mobile game version in the first quarter of 2024, which will include new PvP modes, token issuance, and airdrop activities for early supporters.

Ronin announced on January 16th that Apeiron has officially launched on Mavis Hub, where players can stake, participate in daily check-in activities, collect NFTs on Mavis Market, and earn $ANIMA through Apeiron challenges.

How to Stake RON via Ronin Wallet?

Staking RON requires the use of the Ronin Wallet. You can download the browser extension from the official website, set up a password, and save your recovery phrase to create a wallet account based on Ronin Wallet. Currently, aside from Binance, which will soon list RON, the only CeFi platform offering RON trading pairs is OKX. Choose the Ronin network and send the RON you hold to the wallet address in Ronin Wallet.

To stake RON, navigate to the staking interface on the Ronin website and click the wallet icon in the top right corner to connect your wallet.

There are currently 22 validator nodes available on the Ronin network. To participate in staking, simply select a validator node of your interest and click "Delegate". If you wish to learn more about the selected validator node, you can click on its name to open the detailed information page, where you can find metrics such as the number of participants, delegation rewards, and annual percentage yield (APR).

After clicking "Delegate", input the amount of RON you want to stake in the pop-up window and preview the staking rewards for daily, monthly, and yearly periods. Once confirmed, sign to complete the delegation process.
